Dixie Darlin' is a Border Collie rescue and was our first border collie. She came to us from Jerri at the Southeast Border Collie Rescue League of Florida (read Dixie's story on the Special Story page). Dixie had a fear of strangers and needed a lot of love and attention when we got her. Several people told me she wouldn't make it in agility with this fear. I wouldn't accept this and never gave up. With help from Jerri at SEBCRL, several friends, and my trainers Dixie is now running in the AKC Excellent Agility class and working on her AKC MACH.
